Today was a very special day because Zainal, one of our VIP clients, came from Singapore to visit our factory in Zhongshan. Despite the busy schedule, Zainal and his daughter also took time to meet with us at our office in Foshan. We were very grateful for their enthusiasm and sincerity.
Zainal started to do the toner business in Singapore 29 years ago. Honestly speaking, it was not easy to start, he told us. The numerous competitors made the business challenging. That was how he felt at the beginning of his startup.
Unlike today, the design and technology of compatible toner cartridges were not as high-quality as the one at present. The remanufactured toner was still the mainstream in the toner industry. Recoating the original OPC drum was the method used to refurbish the toner. In contrast, we now possess advanced production technology and equipment that support the high-speed manufacturing of toner cartridges.
With the development and expansion of the business, Zainal now has an office in Singapore and a shop in Malaysia. His market primarily covers Malaysia and Indonesia.
Time is passing quickly, and the cost of living is high in Singapore. Conducting business in Indonesia is not easy. Zainal believes that he still needs to continue his studies. The market is small, and while HP toner is popular, it offers low profit margins. Only studying can he keep pace with the rapid development of the toner market.
At the end of the day, we invited Zainal and his daughter to join us for dinner. Unfortunately, they left in such a hurry that we did not have time to take any photos. We hope to have the opportunity to meet again at the upcoming Canton Fair.
